2V Explore Windsor Castle
To enrich our learning about Queen Elizabeth II and Royal Portraits, we went to visit Windsor Castle last Friday.
When we arrived, the Royal Standard was flying high, signalling that King Charles III was there!
We were able to pay our respects to Queen Elizabeth II by visiting her grave inside St George's Chapel. Then we explored the State Apartments and were in awe by all the rich furnishings and gilded furniture. As we have been studying portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, we were able to recognise her in other portraits on display in the Castle.
We had a wonderful time!
Our teachers are so pleased that this trip went so smoothly, and are so proud that many members of the public commented on our wonderful behaviour on the trains and at the castle.
Thank you again to our wonderful parent volunteers. You are so appreciated!
