2V Create Clay Memorials

To finish off our work on Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole, 2V created memorials for them out of clay.
We started by thinking of some symbols that we associate with each woman. For example, mops and lanterns for Florence Nightingale and herbs and pestle&mortars for Mary Seacole. We drew a simple sketch of what we wanted our memorial to look like and begun work on our sculptures. We used different tools to add texture to our memorials.
We are very proud of our finished pieces.
