School council

The school council is an elected body of pupils who work with school leaders and governors to represent the views of pupils and to support school development.

The school council is elected annually and meets regularly throughout the school year. The council consists of two pupils from each class from year 2 to year 6. The council elects a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

School councilors consult their classmates and give feedback following decisions at school council meetings. Over the years, the school council has worked to enhance pupil toilets, to develop the playground space and to redesign the school meals offer.
